Oscar Libotte’s testimonial
Oscar Libotte joined Otraco (Office d’exploitation des transports coloniaux) shortly after its creation. He describes the development of this major company, which employed over 30,000 people (Interview recorded in October 2010).

Doctor of Science, Professor at the Universities of Hasselt and Kisangani (Dean of Faculty). Professor of General Biology, Comparative Anatomy and Histology.
Pr Hugo Gevaerts continued to provide annual support to the University of Kisangani during the years of disruption to Belgian structural cooperation (from 1990 to 2001). Founder of an NGO very active in the DRC and Belgium in the field of food security, he built up, with the collaboration of his former colleagues from the U/ Kisangani project, a whole network of Belgian provincial and Rotary support.
